The Investor Relations Society (IR Society) was established in 1980 nad has over 600 members. Its membership comprises both UK and overseas companies, of which approximately half are corporate firms and half service providers. For over 25 years the IRS continues to be an exclusive training, research and public center well known not only in the UK but all over the world as well. The Institute for the Development of Financial Markets is an officeial and exclusive IRS representative in Russia and CIS.
In addition to development and implementation of professional standards and staging its Investor Relations annual conference that is considered a meeting floor for international IR community the IRS experts and tutors devote special attention to Professional Development.
The «Certificate in Investor Relations» course is for everyone working in investor relations or thinking about a move into investor relations. The Syllabus comprises actual situation of the Russian and Western financial markets. On completion the candidate will know the main regulations concerning the structure, governance and behaviour of listed companies; kow the different types of shares and shareholders; know the role of stock exchanges; know the regulations governing the conduct of investor relations and in particular the disclosure of information; know the legal requirements regarding the financial calendar; be familiar with the fundamentals of basic accounting, ratios, valuation and investment analysis; be aware of the requirements for UK listed companies conducting
investor relations in major overseas markets; be aware of the required ethical and professional standards expected of investor relations practitioners.
Qualification of graduates of the «Certificate in Investor Relations» course. The students successfully passed the «Certificate in Investor Relations» final exam and received the IRS International Certificate are ready to perform IR duties.
Training process. The 40 hour Syllabus consists of five modules. The lectures take place in the evenings 3 times a week. There is also a possibility for taking a distant learning course.
Course Books. The students are to get a study guide, revision slides, a list of additional literature, and a login and password for the online mock exam at the IR Society website.
Final Exam. On completion of the Course the students are to sit the Findal exam. Successful students will receive IR Society International Certificate.
Tutors. All the lectures are given by skilled experts who are professionals of the market. In addition to the lecturing the tutors are to share their practical experience, provided analyses of teh of the present situation and prospectives of development of the financial markets.

Final Exam is to take place at the premises of the Institute for the Development of Financial Markets.
At the end of the Course the candidates are to sit the final exam. Successfully passing the exam the candidate is to receive an IRS «Certificate in Investor Relations».

The students that have no possibility to physically attend the lectures at the Institute can choose a distant learning program. Distant learning program is for those who live in the remote areas of Russia or those who can get ready for the Final Exam by themselves.
With the distant learning:
1. The student receives the IRS Guidebook in English and additional studying materials, Login and Password to the online Mock exam at the IRS website. 2. The student gets ready for the Final Exam individually.
3. The exam takes place at the Institute's premises in accordance with the approved schedule.

Demetrius Andreas Floudas
Mr. Floudas is a practicing Attorney and VP of Interstice Consulting Corp. He has been until recently the head of the EU project for the Accession of Russia to the WTO. Mr. Floudas is a Member of the British Academy of Experts and of the Athens Bar, a Fellow of the Hellenic Institute of International & Foreign Law and formerly Aristotles Visiting Fellow at Universite de Paris I (Pantheon-Sorbonne). He serves on the Editorial Board of the journal 'International Problems'. He has been a Senior Associate of Hughes Hall College, University of Cambridge, since 1999 and President of the Hughes Hall Graduate Law Society since 2001.

Mr. Belikov is a member of the Corporate Governance Expert Counsel with the Federal Financial Markets Service, an ICGN member and the UNCTAD (Geneva). Member of the Board of the Counsel of Directors of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Mr. Belikov is a co-author of the Corporate Governance Code and a large number of manuals pubblished in Russia, USA, and United Kingdom.

Mr. Matovnikov started his career in Interfax in 2000 as a Senior Expert of the Economic Analysis Center. In 2001 he was one of the creators of the Interfax agency Rating Center occupying a position of the ratings of the Russian banks. Later Mr. Matovnikov became a VP and Senior Analyst of the Moody's Interfax Rating Agency.
He is a graduate of the St.Petersburg University of Economics and Finance. Mr. Matovnikov is an author of 5 manuals and more than 100 research works published both in Russia and abroad.

Leighton S.P. Prabhu
Managing Director of the Interstice Consulting
Mr. Prabhu is a co-founder of Interstice Consulting and currently serves as the Managing Director of the firm. Mr. Prabhu has consulted to a wide range of organizations on financial policies, corporate development, financing, strategy and privatization, in both developed and emerging markets.
During his prior careers, Mr. Prabhu has been a senior investment banker and project financier with the JPMorgan Chase, BankAmerica and PricewaterhouseCoopers organizations, with regional responsibility for Asia-Pacific and Central & Eastern Europe. During this time he arranged billions of dollars in financing for infrastructure and related industries. He has also been a team leader for several high-profile project finance advisory assignments and cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. More recently, he has served as a consultant to the global banking sector, to emerging media and technology companies, and to international financial institutions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Prabhu practiced as a public accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young, and also worked in the public sector at Investment Canada, an agency of the Canadian government charged with attracting foreign direct investment.
Currently based in Moscow, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Canada-Eurasia-Russia Business Association (CERBA) and has been a featured speaker at several international conferences focused on Russia, including Euromoney's Syndicated Lending in Russia & CIS, Emerging Trends in Real Estate, Canada-Russia Business Council, and Canada-Russia Roundtable on Corporate Social Responsibility and Public-Private Partnership. Mr. Prabhu has also delivered lectures at the Higher School of Economics and at the Investor Relations Institute, and is a member of the Independent Directors Association of Russia.
Mr. Prabhu holds a B.Com in accounting and finance from McGill University (Great Distinction), where he was a James McGill Scholar and was awarded the graduating medal in Finance. He holds a Master's degree in Management from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. Mr. Prabhu has also earned a Certificate in E-Commerce Business Development from New York University, is a qualified Chartered Accountant in Canada and Certified Public Accountant in the USA, and has undertaken Russian language training at Moscow State University (Lomonosov).
